The Sodexo Future Chefs Challenge was created eight years ago to get students thinking about making healthy food choices while also encouraging them to be active and creative in the kitchen. At Tulsa Public Schools, 53 elementary school students submitted heart healthy comport food recipes with the ten best dishes selected to compete in the district finals of the event on March 28, 2018. Finalists in this year's competition prepared their creations for a panel of hungry judges on with Patrick Henry Elementary's Meleigha Simpson taking home the top prize.
